Product Overview:

Salt Spray Resistant Agent R-528 is a versatile and efficient salt spray resistance agent. Its main component is an organic chelating compound. It enhances the long-term anti-corrosion performance of water-based coatings on iron materials, including shot-blasted iron, malleable cast iron, welds, and is suitable for water-based acrylic self-drying systems, water-based acrylic-modified epoxy self-drying systems, and water-based baking paint systems.

Application Fields:

R-528 is suitable for water-based acrylic latex, water-based acrylic-modified epoxy self-drying systems, and water-based baking paint systems.

Main Characteristics:

Prevents water-based coatings on iron substrates from rusting during the drying process.

Exhibits good long-term anti-corrosion performance, enhancing the coating's resistance to salt spray.

Easy to disperse and can be added at later stages, suitable for low film thickness (<25 micrometers).

Usage and Dosage:

It is recommended to add R-528 during the paint formulation stage. The specific dosage should be determined through experimentation.

Recommended dosage for anti-flash rust: 0.5-1.0% of the total coating amount

Recommended dosage for long-term anti-rust: 0.5-2.0% of the total coating amount
