Product Overview:

Anti-Flash Rust Agent R-838 is a versatile and efficient anti-flash rust agent primarily composed of organic macromolecular chelating agents. It can prevent flash rust on iron materials, such as cold-rolled steel, shot-blasted iron, cast iron, and welds, making it especially suitable for water-based alkyd resin systems.

Application Fields:

R-838 is applicable in water-based alkyd resin, water-based acrylic emulsion, water-based acrylic-modified epoxy self-drying systems, water-based epoxy, and other water-based coating systems.

Particularly suitable for water-based alkyd resin systems, with minimal impact on viscosity and excellent storage stability.

Easy to disperse and can be added at later stages, suitable for low film thickness (<25 micrometers).

Usage and Dosage:

It is recommended to add R-838 during the paint formulation stage. The specific dosage should be determined through experimentation.
