Anti-Flash Rust Agent R-824

Product Overview:

Anti-Flash Rust Agent R-824 can be used alone or in combination with other water-soluble corrosion inhibitors. In water-based coatings, it is particularly effective in preventing flash rust on welds and cast iron, with almost no flash rust when added in quantities exceeding 1%. R-824 offers excellent anti-flash rust properties and outstanding cost-effectiveness.

Water Solubility: Soluble in water, forming a transparent solution

Application Fields:

R-824 is suitable for use in water-based acrylic emulsion systems, water-based two-component epoxy and zinc-rich epoxy systems, as well as other water-based coating systems.

Main Characteristics:

Excellent anti-flash rust properties, especially effective on materials prone to rust, such as cast iron and welds, including submerged arc welds.

Suitable for a wide range of substrates, including hot-rolled carbon steel, cold-rolled steel, malleable cast iron, galvanized steel, silicon steel, and more.

Usage and Dosage:

For preventing flash rust on general carbon steel substrates, add 0.2-1% of the total coating amount. For flash rust prevention on welds and cast iron substrates, add 0.5-1.5% of the total coating amount. Add it during the paint formulation stage.
