Anti-Flash Rust Agent R-820A

Product Overview:

Anti-Flash Rust Agent R-820A is a versatile and efficient anti-flash rust agent primarily composed of organic macromolecular chelating agents. It enhances the long-term corrosion resistance of water-based coatings on iron materials, especially suitable for water-based 2K polyurethane resin systems, water-based epoxy systems, and compatible with epoxy curing agent 3986.

Physical Properties:

Appearance: Colorless to pale yellow transparent liquid

Density (g/cm³): 1.08 (±0.05)

pH Value (25°C): 7-9

Water Solubility: Soluble in water

Application Fields:

R-820A is suitable for use in water-based two-component polyurethane, water-based acrylic latex, water-based acrylic-modified epoxy self-drying systems, water-based epoxy systems, and other water-based coating systems.

Main Characteristics:

Prevents flash rust in the drying process of water-based coatings on iron substrates.

Easily dispersible, suitable for post-addition, and can be applied to low film thickness (<25 micrometers).

Applicable to substrates such as carbon steel, malleable cast iron, galvanized steel, welds, cast iron, and more.

Usage and Dosage:

It is recommended to add R-820A during the paint formulation stage. The specific dosage should be determined through experimentation.

Recommended Dosage:

Anti-Flash Rust: 0.5-1.5% of the total amount for carbon steel substrates

Long-term Anti-Rust: 0.5-2.0% of the total amount

Packaging Specification:

25KG/drum

Storage Conditions:

The product should be stored in a sealed, cool, dry, and well-ventilated warehouse.

Shelf Life:

2 years

Transportation:

As it is a water-based product, it can be transported using conventional methods for coating products.
