Anti-Flash Rust Agent R-729

Product Overview:

Anti-Flash Rust Agent R-729 can be used either on its own or in combination with other water-soluble corrosion inhibitors. In water-based coatings, it exhibits particularly noticeable anti-flash rust protection, especially on submerged arc welds and cast iron, with virtually no flash rust when used at concentrations exceeding 1%. R-729 does not contain nitrites and heavy metals, and it offers excellent anti-flash rust properties.

Appearance (20°C): Light yellow to reddish-brown transparent viscous liquid

pH Value (25°C): 10.0 (±1.0)

Density (g/cm³): 1.10 (±0.05)

Solubility in water: Forms a transparent solution when dissolved in water

Application Fields:

R-729 is suitable for use in water-based acrylic latex systems, water-based epoxy, water-based polyurethane, and other water-based coating systems.

Main Characteristics:

Exhibits excellent anti-flash rust protection, especially on rust-prone substrates such as cast iron, welds, and submerged arc welds.

Also applicable to substrates such as hot-rolled carbon steel, cold-rolled steel, galvanized iron, silicon steel, and more.

Usage and Dosage:

For general carbon steel substrates, add 0.5-1% of the total coating.

For welds and cast iron substrates, add 0.5-1.5% of the total coating.

Add during the paint formulation stage.
