Anti-Flash Rust Agent R-726

Product Overview:

 

R-726 is a versatile and highly efficient anti-flash rust agent. It does not contain nitrites, organic amines, heavy metals, and has zero VOC, making it particularly suitable for environmentally demanding applications. It exhibits excellent compatibility with water-based alkyd resins, causing no resin coagulation or precipitation and having minimal impact on viscosity. R-726 can be used for anti-flash rust protection in latex systems directly on metal, water-dispersible resin systems, and water-soluble resin systems.

Appearance: Light yellow transparent liquid

Density (g/cm³): 1.05 (±0.05)

pH Value (25°C): 7.5 - 9.5

Solubility in water: Readily soluble in water

 

Application Fields:

 

R-726 is suitable for water-based alkyd resin coatings, water-based acrylic latex, water-based polyurethane, water-based epoxy, and other water-based coating systems.

 

Main Characteristics:

 

Nitrite-free, heavy metal-free, zero VOC – environmentally friendly product.

Excellent compatibility with water-based resins, widely applicable to water-based alkyd resin systems.

Free from organic amines – suitable for 2KPU systems and resin systems sensitive to organic amines.

Applicable to substrates such as cold-rolled steel, hot-rolled steel, galvanized iron, and more.

Low pH value – suitable for water-based coatings on substrates like aluminum, magnesium, zinc, and their alloys.

 

Usage and Dosage:

 

It is recommended to add R-726 during paint formulation.

 

Recommended usage:

 

For anti-flash rust: 0.5-1.0% of the total coating.
